What is an SPF, DKIM, and DMARC record?

DNS records with which your domain proves that mail really comes from you:

  • SPF (Sender Policy Framework) — tells receiving mail servers which servers may send on behalf of your domain. Prevents someone else from sending as `@youragency.com`.
  • DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) — digital signature on every message; recipients verify that the message was not modified in transit.
  • DMARC — policy for what happens when SPF or DKIM fails (reject, send to spam, or allow with reporting).

Without these records, 90% of your marketing mail ends up in spam. Senly shows the status under Email → Domain status.
